Rotoscoping

 

 I filmed my 30 second clip with the help of my lovely assistant Erika who you might recognize from the Multiplicity project. She just improvd, it was pretty epic.

 I then brought it into photoshop!
Initially, it is the original image with drawings layered on top of Erika, and circling around her.
I applied a filter around the outline which I then made disperse into another dimension basically...

here you can see where it starts to disperse into the more detailed part of the rotoscope
                    I then applied the filter all over the image and drew her movements frame by frame                                            


I basically applied this process everywhere, changing the color every new camera angle to keep it entertaining


I applied the same process to the arm as I did the legs

I didn't want it to appear to repetitive so I decided to make the original image slide down her body and then slide back up and I figured I would add a sound effect behind it for a better effect.
After I completed the whole thing I brought it into GarageBand for some composition of background music!

     For my first class of Digital Media, I found it very appealing in the sense that right off the bat, the concept of giving and receiving constructive feedback would be a method used in the class to build a better outlook on individual projects. Linking the group together and referring to us as a family was a memorable comment that I felt was necessary for our little group to thrive throughout the semester. Having a night class is also a plus because I am the type of person who tends to work better at night than during the day. I am a bit introverted and love to create things, it can really be anything I just enjoy to have things that I made, even if they're terrible. I also have never been to Tampa before, so it's my first time ever being here or even on this campus, so I hope the remainder of the year is a little less confusing. Calligram

 This is my very first time using Illustrator so I am very excited! I began with my 3 sketches... Out of the 3 sketches I thought the first one was the most interesting This was the image I went off of for the sketch and calligram  Envelope distort was my go to for majority of this piece  I used that process for the facial features I even started building the face with primarily the Envelope Distort with Top image I also used gradient to show all the values in the face For the hair I tried a couple methods but ended up just sticking to Type on Path, I added more features as well continuing Envelope Distort and Gradient  Eventually it all came together, I even added some more bubbles to fill up the negative space.
