Deconstruction

For my deconstructive image I chose one that was previously taken by me

This was my initial image that I took last year, I felt that it could execute the destructive feel.

I started with picking my textures online!

This is an example of the creases I was going to use as a reference for my piece

My first step was to rough up the edges, I did this by masking a rough edged piece of paper onto the image, I then went ahead and added some holes as well

Using the paintbrush tool, I went ahead and added some value to create some folds

I then decided to turn the image black and white for a more vintage feel

The image itself was too clean in my opinion so I went ahead and added grain, texture, and some scratches

The holes looked a little wonky as well, so I decided to add some burn marks over the image

Finally, I felt the piece needed some color so I added some ink blotches to finish it up

I then put a side by side and it was complete!
